US DOJ Awards Grants to Combat IP Piracy

The National Journal reports that the US DOJ’s Office of Justice Programs will award nearly $2 million to law enforcement agencies for the purpose of “identifying and stopping criminal activity associated with intellectual property piracy.” Notably, the grantees include state and local entities such as the cities of Los Angeles and New York, and the National Association of Attorneys General.  They also include non-profits like the National White Collar Crime Center.
